DIY Apple Cider Vinegar Facial Toner - two ingredients, clean beauty | via scoutandwiles.com

Because skin absorbs whatever we put on it, I love using natural beauty products. It’s important for me to know exactly what is in my beauty products, so I love to make my own.

This apple cider vinegar facial toner is amazing because it only requires two ingredients. And you can customize it to the needs of your skin.

The Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

There are so many benefits to using apple cider vinegar on your face. It can help balance the pH of your skin. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, which is perfect if you have acne or redness on your face.

Additionally, apple cider vinegar can reduce dark spots and acne scars, prevent blackheads, and exfoliate dead skin cells.

I suggest using raw, organic apple cider vinegar, such as Bragg’s. What you put on your skin matters, so organic ingredients are a must.

When to Use This Toner

This apple cider vinegar facial toner is just one part of my skin care routine. It is the second step, after washing my face. I don’t wash the toner off before applying serum.

My Skin Care Routine

  • Wash face with oil-based cleanser
  • ACV toner
  • Serum

Apple Cider Vinegar Facial Toner

Ingredients
Steps

Mix together 1 part apple cider vinegar to 2 parts water. Store in a plastic or glass container. When you’re ready to use it, wet a cotton ball or pad with the toner and lightly spread it over your face and neck, avoiding the eyes.

If your skin is sensitive, increase the amount of water you use. If your skin is oily, increase the amount of apple cider vinegar you use. You can adjust the mixture by adding either of these ingredients to the bottle if your skin needs it.

That’s it- making this toner is incredibly easy!

  1. I’m a big fan of natural remedies for pretty much everything. I haven’t tried ACV yet though! I might have to give it a try. I usually just drink A LOT of green tea and water. My skin isn’t bad just a little uneven.

    1. I love the idea of staying hydrated and drinking green tea as a natural beauty method. I love the ACV toner as part of my overall beauty routine. I think it works really well with the other components!

  2. I’m always wanting to use natural diy cosmetics but I’ve never had the guts. I’m always scared I’m going to do something weird to my face or hair. Might give this one a go. If I’m brave enough 🙂

    1. Let me know if you try it! I always test out a new product on a small part of my skin first to make sure I won’t have a weird reaction to it.

  3. Ooo I will have to try this! My skin and I have had a very negative relationship since I was 11 (15 years) and I’ve tried so many things and been left disappointed!

    1. I’m so sorry about that, Sharon. I’ve seen more success with my skin (namely, acne) when I’m using a holistic approach. I try to limit dairy and sugar, as well as paying attention to what goes on my skin. Good luck! Let me know if you find success!

  4. Thanks for the home remedy to keep our face clean with the help of apple cider vinegar.
This helps us to know the use of ACV in our day to day life and helps in keeping our skin healthy.
